🪞🪶🪔 How Is This Not Illegal?

Let’s talk about the wildest plot twist in modern spirituality: 🧏‍♀️ You can’t steal a pack of gum without getting arrested, but you can hop on Etsy and buy a hex to destroy your enemy’s life for $19.99 plus shipping. Make it make sense. Because if someone advertised; I’ll break into your ex’s house and ruin their life physically the FBI would be at their door before the listing finished loading. ☠️But somehow, I’ll spiritually invade your ex’s energy field and ruin their life metaphysically is considered a craft. 🤦‍♀️The Hypocrisy Olympics Authorities Edition: Authorities love to say they’re protecting the vulnerable. They love to say trafficking is evil. They love to say exploitation is unacceptable. Yet whole marketplaces exist where people openly sell: 🪄Possession spells. Bindings to control someone’s mind. Curses to drain someone’s finances. Dark energy attachments. Revenge rituals. If you described these actions in physical terms, every single one would be a felony. ⚖️ But slap the word spell on it, add glitter, and suddenly it’s handmade artisan spirituality. ✝️Catechism + Scripture = Spiritual Harm Is Still Harm: The Catechism is extremely clear that invoking spirits, energies, or powers to manipulate others is spiritually dangerous and morally wrong. It literally categorizes sorcery, divination, and conjuring as grave offenses because they open the door to deception, exploitation, and spiritual harm. And Scripture? It doesn’t mince words either. Have nothing to do with sorcery, divination, or mediums. (Paraphrased from Deuteronomy & Acts) Not because God is anti‑fun, but because these practices historically intersect with exploitation, manipulation, and the misuse of vulnerable bodies and minds. The Bible repeatedly warns about workers of iniquity and unclean spirits seeking rest in a body. Not because witches are running around with broomsticks, but because people can be used; spiritually, psychologically & socially by lower intentions and lower energies. That’s not fantasy. That’s human history. The uncomfortable truth is spiritual trafficking exists. There are people who sell access to their bodies for ritual possession. Allow “energies” to use them temporarily. Market themselves as vessels for spell‑casting. Offer revenge rituals on behalf of paying clients. If you replaced the word energy with person, every single one of these actions would be classified as trafficking, exploitation, or abuse. But because it’s “spiritual,” authorities shrug. Spell‑work is treated like cosplay even when it’s harmful. Let’s be honest; most spell‑work online is harmless cosplay. But the advertising of harm is not. If someone sells: A curse to make your ex sick. A ritual to destroy someone’s marriage. A spell to bind someone’s will. A hex to cause nightmares or mental distress. A spell to make someone fall in love with you. ⚠️That is advertising harm. If you advertised the same thing physically, you’d be arrested. So why is metaphysical harm treated like a craft fair hobby? The real question: Why do authorities ignore this? Because, they don’t understand spiritual culture. They underestimate the psychological impact. They assume it’s all pretend. They don’t want to regulate “religion”. They don’t want to touch anything supernatural‑adjacent. Meanwhile, vulnerable people, especially young women, are being recruited into Spell‑casting services; Energy‑channeling gigs; Possession rituals; Dark‑work commissions; and nobody blinks. 📣Protecting the vulnerable means acknowledging the problem. You don’t have to believe in spells for exploitation to be real. You don’t have to believe in curses for manipulation to be dangerous. You don’t have to believe in “lower energies” to recognize that people can be used, pressured, or groomed into spiritual labor that mirrors trafficking dynamics. The Catechism calls it out. The Bible calls it out. History calls it out. But modern authorities? They’re too busy regulating lemonade stands. 💁‍♀️Final thought: If harm is harm, why is spiritual harm exempt? If you can’t advertise physical harm; If you can’t advertise theft; If you can’t advertise psychological abuse; Why can you advertise metaphysical versions of the same thing? It’s the same intention. The same manipulation. The same exploitation. Just with incense. Spiritual harm is still harm. Exploitation is still exploitation. And hypocrisy is still hypocrisy even when it’s wearing crystals. 🙏 Prayer for Protection, Clarity, and Discernment: Father God, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to cover my mind, my spirit, my home, and my path. Let Your light expose every hidden thing that is not from You. Let Your truth silence every lie. Let Your peace override every confusion. Surround me with Your protection. Strengthen my discernment. Guide my steps with wisdom. Guard my heart with clarity. Anything sent to distract, deceive, drain, or disturb I release it from my life right now. I choose Your way, Your voice, and Your covering. Let Your Spirit walk with me. Let Your love steady me. Let Your power defend me. For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be made known and brought to light. (Luke 8:17) In Jesus’ name. Amen. Ameen. Ase, So Be It. 📚Sources: Catechism of the Catholic Church. Libreria Editrice Vaticana, 1993. The Holy Bible.
