🗳️ Red, Blue, or Just Clueless? Why Voting People Over Party Is the Real Power Move 💁🏽♀️✨
🇺🇸 Let’s be real: political party loyalty is the adult version of picking teams in dodgeball and then refusing to admit your team sucks at throwing. 😬 We’ve all seen it. Folks voting straight ticket like it’s a Costco membership “Well, I’ve always been a member, so I guess I’ll keep buying the 48 pack of disappointment.” 🛒💔 But here’s the tea 🍵: If we stopped obsessing over party lines and started focusing on the actual people running like, their values, their track records, their ability to form a complete sentence without blaming the other side we might actually get somewhere. 🚀 🧠 Like Minded 🫶 Like Colored: Imagine a world where we vote for people who are aligned in purpose, not just in party. People who care about the community, not just the committee. People who show up to serve, not just to selfie. 📸🙄 When we elect folks based on shared values instead of shared logos, we create coalitions of conscience, not just cliques of chaos. And guess what? That’s when stuff actually gets DONE. Like, roads paved, schools funded, and maybe, just maybe, Wi-Fi that works in rural areas. 📡🙏🏽 🤡 Party Loyalty Is Not a Personality: Being loyal to a party no matter what is like staying in a toxic relationship because “we’ve been together for so long.” Honey, if they ghost your healthcare, gaslight your rights, and only show up when they want something (votes), it’s time to swipe left. 🚩🚩🚩 Let’s stop treating politics like a sports rivalry and start treating it like what it is: a job interview. If the candidate can’t answer the questions, doesn’t show up to work, or keeps blaming their coworkers for everything they’re not qualified. Period. 🧾✍🏽 🌸 Love & Light Affirmation: "I choose clarity over chaos. I vote with wisdom, not fear. I honor truth over tradition. I align with purpose, not party. I am guided by love, light, and the courage to choose what’s right. " 🙏🏽 Prayer for Political Clarity & Courage: Divine Creator of wisdom and justice, Illuminate our hearts with discernment. Help us see beyond colors, slogans, and fear. Let us recognize integrity, compassion, and truth in those who seek to lead. May we be bold enough to vote for character over comfort, For unity over division, For purpose over party. Guide our hands to cast votes that heal, Our voices to speak truth with love, And our spirits to remain anchored in hope. Let every ballot be a prayer for justice, Every choice a seed of transformation. We trust You to raise up leaders who serve with humility, And we commit to being citizens of light. 🌟 In Jesus Holy Name. Amen and Ase. 🌸 📚 Sources Haidt, Jonathan.
