🤔 Why the Wicked Seem to Win (Spoiler Alert: They Don’t) 🤫
💁♀️ History is basically one long blooper reel of arrogant men flexing their egos, only to trip over their own hubris. (ladies not exempt) Let’s roll the highlight reel: Pharaoh of Egypt: 🐍👑 Pharaoh strutted around like he was the CEO of the Nile, boasting that he’d never let the Israelites go. Cue the plagues: frogs in his soup, gnats in his hair, and water turning into a bloody mess. Exodus 14:28 tells us his army drowned in the Red Sea. Pharaoh thought he was untouchable turns out he was just waterproof for about five minutes then he was fish food. Haman of Persia: 🎭💀 Haman built gallows to hang Mordecai, bragging like he was Persia’s top villain influencer. But Esther 7:10 drops the punchline: Haman was hanged on the very gallows he built. Talk about DIY karma. He basically invented the “plot twist” genre, starring himself as the loser. Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon: 🦁🌳 Nebuchadnezzar flexed so hard about his empire that God turned him into a wild animal grazing in the fields (Daniel 4:33). Imagine the king of Babylon mooing at cows. He went from “I built this great Babylon” to “pass the grass, fam.” Pride really is the original brain fog. Herod Agrippa: 🐛👑 Herod Agrippa soaked up praise like he was a rock star. 🎤🎶 Acts 12:23 says he was struck down and eaten by worms. Worms. Not assassins, not rebels; worms! The man who thought he was divine became a literal compost heap. The Pattern: 📉 The wicked look like they’re winning big; palaces, armies, Instagram worthy crowns. But every boast is basically a countdown timer to their downfall. 😬 Proverbs 16:18 nails it: “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” So next time you see someone flexing their power like it’s eternal, remember: Pharaoh drowned, Haman swung, Nebuchadnezzar mooed, and Herod got wormed. The wicked win; until they don’t.😏 God’s Holy Perspective: 📖🪷 From our limited view, the wicked look like they’re thriving; palaces, power, applause. But Psalm 73:17 flips the lens: “Till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny.” In other words, step into God’s presence and suddenly the illusion shatters. The sanctuary is like divine X-ray vision: it reveals that the wicked are standing on slippery ground, destined for collapse. Their victories are temporary stage props, while God’s justice is the final curtain call 🙏Prayer of Justice and Light: 🕊️ Heavenly Father, We thank You for the wisdom of Your Word that reminds us the proud are brought low and the humble lifted high. Just as Pharaoh, Haman, Nebuchadnezzar, and Herod Agrippa fell by their own arrogance, let us never be deceived by temporary victories of the wicked. Guide us to walk in Your sanctuary vision, as Psalm 73:17 declares, seeing beyond illusions into Your eternal justice. Strengthen us to live with courage, humility, and compassion. May our hearts shine with love and light, and may our voices echo truth against oppression. Keep us rooted in Your promises, knowing that righteousness will stand when pride crumbles. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Ameen. Ase. So be it. 🪷 Love and Light Affirmation: May we walk in humility, speak truth with courage, and shine love and light so bright that arrogance has no place to hide. 💜✨ 📚Sources: The Holy Bible Exodus 14:28.
